This is a little boy that I babysit weekday mornings while he was playing with little Noah. They really love being with each other and Liam loves to help Noah in every way! I am excited to see them play together as Noah grows and is able to do more things, but until then, Liam is content to do what Noah can! :o)

Silly Faces!
I can tell you one thing, this kid is gonna be entertaining! He is always making us laugh with his many expressions! We love you Noah!

My Dear Noah,
You are growing so fast! I cannot believe that you have already been with us for almost 12 weeks!! You are such a happy baby, too. I love to watch your face light up when you play with Daddy and I...or anyone else who comes to see you. Your name, NOAH, means peaceful, and that is exactly what you are. You rarely cry unless you really need something, and you usually "talk" to us first, letting us know something is up before you really cry. You are a great sleeper so far too! Well..most nights anyway :oP In fact, last week you slept for a 7 hour stretch! I was actually worried when I woke up and realized what time it was, but you were fine, just sleepy. I love watching you grow and wish I could capture every moment of every day on camera so I never forget a thing.
So far you have had 4 family members visit from out west. Grandma Krammer came the week after you were born and Grandma and Grandpa Jevne when you were a month old. Just this past week, your Aunt Angie came to visit too. They all loved meeting you and you were super sweet for them all.
Your Daddy and I are so happy to have you in our lives Noah! We waited a long time for you to join us, and every minute of it was worth it! You are so precious to us both and we love you so very much! I hope you can always feel that love and know that we are here for you always.
Hugs and Kisses!
Love,
Mommy

A REALLY long week!
My dear boy, you have put your Daddy and I through quite a lot this week! It started out on Monday morning. Daddy was at work with me because he didn't have to work that day, and I started bleeding. Not too terribly, but enough that we were a little worried and left work early so that I could call the Dr. and see if I needed to go in. Well, I had an appt. set up already for that afternoon so they said that unless it gets worse, they'd just see me then. Turns out it is not a concern, and actually a good sign of progression, but we were still only 1 cm dilated and about 80% effaced. So, back home for more waiting.
That night I started contracting a bit before bed, but nothing too regular so I went to sleep. I remember waking up with contractions throughout the night, but could still sleep relatively well in between. By morning, however, I was contracting enough to start timing them. They came every 5-10 min or so until about 2 in the afternoon, when they took a bit of a break, slowing to only two or three an hour. They stayed that way until evening when they started to pick up again. By 2 am, I hadn't been able to fall asleep yet and they were coming pretty regularly 5-7 min apart. That loveliness lasted all night. Finally around 6 am I got up and showered. I was totally exhausted! After texting your Auntie Dayna, I called into the Dr. on call to see what I should do. She said to wait a bit longer and see if they got to 3-5 min apart and then call back. That was about 6:40 and by 8 am they were coming anywhere between 2-5 min. We were excited, nervous and ready to see our boy!
After another call to the Dr. we were on our way to the Hospital! Of course I noticed on the drive (about 15 min) that I only had 2 contractions and began to worry that they were slowing down. Well, we got there and Dayna was working at check in with some of her friends that we know, so it was nice to see the familiar faces. They got us into a room and by this point I was hardly contracting at all! To make it short, two and a half hours later, we were headed back home, only dilated to a 2 1/2 and 90% effaced. Not to mention I began regular 5 min apart contractions again before we were even home! The nurses were very nice, and gave me some meds so that I could relax enough to hopefully get some rest, because my body was too exhausted to face labor at that point. I was able to sleep a few hours on the meds, but still woke frequently with contractions (I wasn't timing them). When I did get up later it was the same story. They occasionally came 4 min apart, but usually it was about 5-7. I tried watching TV and playing games with Daddy to distract myself, but I was quickly becoming quite exhausted again.
That (last night) was very similar to the one before, contracting all night with a little dozing in between. I did find that as a was breathing through the contractions if I breathed in by your Scentsy Buddy stuffed lion and took in the lavender scent it would help me through the pain. So I slept with your lion last night :) He was very cozy and took good care of your mama! This morning I was having a really hard time. I had been contracting for about 2 days and my body couldn't take anymore! At one point I just started to cry. I asked Daddy to pray for me and he said he just had. Soon after, the contractions slowed to about 20 min in between and I was able to sleep for about an hour and a half. When I got up after that I decided to take a warm bath. This really helped to slow the contractions down a lot! I slept again after that for another 2 hours until lunch. The contractions were there, but weren't troublesome enough to keep me up. After lunch, we watched an old classic musical on tv and decided to go for a walk. It's been really hot this summer and we were lucky to get out right after a good rain which helped to cool things off. I could only do about a mile and had to stop for the worst contractions, but it was still nice to get out! We got back about 5 and guess what Mommy did?? That's right, I crashed again! I slept for another 1 1/2 hours! I hope that you are feeling ok with all that contracting, cuz it sure took a lot out of mommy! The contractions are still coming and going, but seem so much more bearable now that I've gotten some sleep! I still wish there was a way to just make it all happen now so that we can hold you and see you and know that you are all right! We love you so much little Noah! You have no idea how excited we both are to finally meet you! Hopefully it will be soon, but even if we have to wait another week, it'll be worth it! I just hope it isn't a week like the last! :-)

Well, an induction date has been set if Noah doesn't come by 41 weeks (still crossing my fingers that he does!!) We will be induced at 8 am on August 1st, the same day as his cousin Greyson's mommy is to be induced for him! Greyson's Daddy, Paul is Ryan's little brother who happens to share a birthday with him. We think it would be great if the two son's also share a birthday. :-)
We had a "false alarm" you could say this past Sunday. I was contracting for about 2 1/2 hours, but it never got regular and began to slow down after about 2 hrs. I was bummed, but hopefully we are getting closer. Noah is measuring quite large for little me, and C-section has been very seriously discussed, but we are going to try to deliver vaginally still. We, and the Doctor and staff of course, will just watch the labor very carefully for any signs that he isn't fitting well. I don't want C-section, but it helps that I can prepare myself now for that possibility.
There have been many signs that labor is coming in the past couple weeks, and even more so the past few days, but still no little man. As long as he is safe, I try not to be too impatient, but it is definitely hard! I want to hold my little boy! :-) I have been contracting daily and am dilated 1 cm, and was 80% thinned at our appt. yesterday. The dilation has been that way for a couple weeks now, though the effacement is progressing with each visit. He was nice and low at 36 weeks, but has unfortunately moved up again. This is most likely because he's growing so much and there was less room lower down, so he moved back up.
I have been working still, but much less than I am used to, so I go a little stir crazy! We did have one fun project last week to distract me though. We made a Belly Cast and painted it to match the starry night theme in his room. It was really fun to do, and it's a unique way to remember the pregnancy. We have it hanging on his wall right now and when he comes, I am going to write his birthing info on the inside. Here are some pics of the process...
Well, hopefully it will be soon that I am posting pictures of our beautiful boy, but until then I will try to keep ya'll updated on anything interesting that happens!

Baby Boy
Little hands and little toes,
chubby cheeks and a tiny nose.
Will I hold you in my arms tonight?
Every day I pray for you,
Angels to watch over you,
Til the day my dreams come true
And you're here with me.
All my life I've waited for my angel from above,
A little child to call my own, to give all my love.
And now the Lord has sent you here,
My bundle full of joy!
A miracle, God's greatest gift,
My perfect baby boy!
Anxiously we wait for you,
Your mommy and your daddy too.
Waiting arms to carry you and hold you tight.
We'll sing to you and play with you,
Wipe your tears when you are blue.
There is nothing we won't do to give our love!
All our lives we've waited for our angel from above,
A little child to call our own, to give all our love.
And now the Lord has sent you here,
Our bundle full of joy!
A miracle, God's greatest gift,
Our perfect baby boy!

Letter to Noah
My Dear Noah,
Hello little man! I am so excited for you to be joining us soon! Today is June 23 and you are due July 26th, so we are getting closer! Daddy and I think that you may come before then, but that could just be us getting anxious for you. :-) Auntie Dayna has been helping us with some birthing tips and "classes" so that we are prepared when the time comes. So far I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions, but nothing more as far as I can tell. We did get out the pen and paper to start timing and documenting our contractions the other night though.
I started contracting after a long day and it was enough that I had to pause a bit in what I was doing, but didn't hurt. They seemed really close though and when we started timing, they were varying from about 3-5 min apart and were lasting about 45 to 60 seconds. We started to get excited and wondered if we needed to pack a bag, but you are a little young still and that is worrying. So I drank two full glasses of water and put my feet up to see if it would slow things down. You are not here with us yet, so needless to say it worked. :-) The Contractions died down after about 25-30 minutes. It is hard sometimes to not want you to come right now! You've most likely got some more "cooking" to do though, so your mommy gets to practice her patience until you are ready. I know that whenever you come is when you are supposed to come and you will be so loved by your daddy and I!
Speaking of Daddy, he got to celebrate his first real Father's Day this past Sunday! It was so sweet and he was very proud. Some people may say that it was an "almost daddy" day, but I disagree. You are very real at this point and there is no "almost" about it! For his gift I made him a new shirt to wear at the hospital that says "I'm a Daddy and proud of it!". He liked it, of course, but the best part was when I told him that there was more in the bag. He reached into the bag and pulled out a little onesie I had made for you that says "I love my Daddy". Your Daddy even got teary eyed at the thought, that's how much he loves you!
I have been enjoying making scrapbook pages for you lately too! We have one little 8x8 book and a 12x12 book as well, so it's nice to have my pick of whether or not I want to do a big spread or just a little one. The little book I think we will use for all the beautiful newborn shots that Destinee Blau does and the big one for the everyday snapshots! Either way it's been fun! I just can't wait to get the pictures to go in them!
We are so excited for you Noah and already love you more than we ever thought possible!
Love,
Mommy

Thank heaven for wonderful people!
For those who don't know, I am currently the Primary President at my church (which means I'm in charge of over-seeing all the classes and activities for ages 18 months-11 years) and I have two counselors that I meet with occasionally to help coordinate things.
Well, last Wednesday was a really long day for me, with work starting at 7:30 a.m. and I was scheduled to have a meeting that night. Around 4 I found out that one of my counselors couldn't come, so I thought it was a great reason to re-schedule and go home for some much needed rest! I called the other counselor to see if she would be ok with having the meeting another day, and she said she was really wanting to discuss some things that night. I tried to tell her we could discuss over the phone or via email, because the other counselor wouldn't be there anyway, but she was pretty insistent. So finally I said that I would swing by the church and meet with her "real quick" to go over whatever it is she wanted to discuss. I feel bad, because I hung up feeling rather grumpy... I had gotten my hopes up that I was actually gonna be able to go home and get some rest!
So I grouchily ran home as soon as I got off (20 min drive), fed this child inside me, and got back in the car to go back to town for a meeting...really grumpy pregnant lady at this point. When I showed up, the door to the primary room was closed (they had cub scouts that night) and I didn't see my counselor anywhere. Finally, after wandering the halls for 5 minutes, I decided to peek into the primary room to see if maybe she was just waiting in there.
When I opened the door, I was bombarded with blue balloons and giggling kids saying "SURPRISE!!!" Feeling horrible for being such a grump I was almost in tears from the sweetness of others. My counselor had apparently arranged for a surprise primary baby shower for me, and that was the big issue to "discuss". :-)
I don't have any pictures, but she and the kids had made some blank scrapbook pages for me and gave me a super cute scrapbook for baby Noah. The best part, almost every page had at least one star on it just for little Noah! They even had cupcakes and punch for us in the kitchen.
I am VERY glad I didn't cancel completely, and I wish I hadn't been so grumpy about going. This was a wonderful surprise, and I LOVED it! Thank you to all who participated, you really made my day!

My Pregnancy Art...
I have a very talented friend who does some amazing art and has inspired me to play with watercolors and ink lately. These are my paintings for little Noah :-) I have them in a frame in his room for now, but hope to make a little scrapbook of Mommy's pregnant art for him.
Getting ready for little Noah!
Well it's been forever since I've used this blog, but I figured now that I am having a child, people might like to have a little more updates! :-)
In November Ryan and I found out that we were expecting a little one and time has flown by since then! I am now almost 32 weeks pregnant with only a little over 8 weeks til the due date. For some reason, Ryan and I always thought that we would have a little girl first, but this little guy wouldn't come second to anyone! When we went in for the gender ultra-sound we already had a name picked out for a girl (a couple in fact) but for some reason we could not come up with a boys name. We knew that we would use Charles as a middle name, because it is a family name on both of our sides, but the first name was still up in the air. I love the name Charlie, so I pretty much told Ryan that if we had a boy, it didn't matter what the first name was, I would call him Charlie. Well, he was very quick to show us that he was a BOY! Probably sick of my slip of the tongue "she" and "her" that had kept coming out. It was so wonderful to be able to watch the grainy black and white screen and know that what we were seeing was our little boy! He did lots of tricks for us that day, practically summer-saulting for us on the screen! After watching him, it was no wonder that I started feeling him at 14 weeks!
After the ultra sound we went upstairs to wait to see Dr. Hawes. In the waiting room we reviewed some of the names that we had tossed around for a first name and as soon as we said Noah Charles, we knew that was it! I have to give kudos to little Sarah for that one, she came up with that name the day she found out that I was pregnant. We had liked it before, but it didn't click like it did when we said it there in the waiting room. So before we even saw the Dr. we knew, his name is Noah Charles Jevne. Even now, it brings tears to my eyes (though, I suppose a lot of things do that for me lately) to know with such certainty that that is who he is. He's not Charlie either, he's Noah, and I love it!!
So back to the present! We now have the nursery about ready for him, and I have promised some pictures, so here they are!
From the doorway to the room first, then turning to the right. Then from the right corner by the closet.
A couple months ago Ryan was going through some boxes, after we moved and found a couple things from his room as a boy, a poem about little boys and a little porcelain figurine. So we picked up these little shelves at the craft store to put them on and Ryan painted them to match the room. We added the spoon and egg which we got on our "getaway" to Waynesville, just as sweet little trinkets for him. We also picked up the Willow Tree figure there as well which sits on a cabinet in his room.
My mom bought us a bedding set for his room when we found out what we were having that matched out theme, "Starry Night". We have always loved Van Gough's starry night painting and have a futon with throw pillows of the print on it. Well, when we moved, we had to put the futon in the Baby room for Sarah to sleep on when she stays the night, and since it was a little boy, we thought it would all tie in nicely to have stars and moons in the room. Since then the shape of a star has become our symbol for little Noah!
I finally caved in and splurged on a glider chair a couple weekends ago that I found on craigslist. It ended up costing twice as much because I had to replace the cushions, but it was still at least half the price of a new one. When I asked the woman who was selling it if she smoked or had pets, she said "No" but once I had it enclosed in my car for a couple blocks, it was obvious that she had not been entirely truthful...It smelled AWFUL!! When I got it home we decided to try and wash the cushions to see if we couldn't get the smell out. Big mistake. Not only did the cushions practically dissintegrate, the washer and whole apartment smelled like stale cigarettes for 2 days!! Thank goodness for Scentsy, or it would have been unbearable! So Ryan and I went out and bought new foam and some fabric that matched the room and I made some new ones! They are not perfect, but I love the chair all the more now after putting that work into it! :-) Here it is, with a pillow from my mom's bedding set that ties it in perfectly! The Pound Puppy is "Cocoa", who was Ryan's as a child and "Lamby" was Noah's Christmas gift from our good friends the Argalls!
Whew!! That is a long blog entry, but it has been a while!
I should be better about keeping up from here on out!
